Dave walked through all the options to a blown head (blew a hole in the side and popped the freeze plug) repair. I decided a new motor was in order. It took a few weeks but it's an older car and delays were expected from the beginning. Got the car back with new motor, hoses, gaskets, water pump, thermostat, plugs. Everything May's thought it would take to keep me driving safe in a reliable car. I believe I have that.
